What is your favourite word?

Morning.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

A chef because I have a great passion for cooking.

If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?

You did more good than bad Gavin so come on in.

Tell me about your background and how you came to this role.

For the last 26 years I have worked in the communication and ICT industry, started life as a cable puller, and worked my way up into management and then leadership. Started working with my brother 24 years ago and have worked in many roles.

Are there any upcoming projects that you are excited about?

Developing the skills of our technical team so that we can offer our customers a better all round experience.

What is the accomplishment that you are most proud of?

Developed a brand new company that in the first year turn over 1.4m this was made possible by having a truly amazing team. I am a massive family man and enjoy spending every moment I can with them.

If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 items would you take with you and why?

A spade, some seeds, and a photo of my family.

If you had the ability to change one thing about the world, what would it be and why?

Stop wars and fighting – lets debate and not fight!

What helpful resources do you rely on in your job role?

YouTube as there is always something new to be learnt.

Share an interesting or lesser-known fact about yourself that people would find surprising or amusing.

I have been held at gunpoint.  Long story short the armed police got me and a friend mixed up.

Don’t eat green potatoes.

What are your goals for the next year or so?

Work goals development of the team I work with this is my main focus to date, home support my eldest daughter to get through her GCSE over the next 12 months.

What is one thing you wish people knew about your job?

The number of decisions that I need to be make and the fact I don’t always get them right. My role is more mental than psychical.
