Unity World Supports Wheelchair Sports Through The Teesside Charity
As a proud patron of The Teesside Charity, Unity World remains committed to supporting local initiatives that create a meaningful impact in our community.
Recently, our CEO, Simon, had the opportunity to visit Tees Valley Wheelchair Sports Club, which recently received a £5,000 donation from The Teesside Charity. This funding will help cover court hire, additional equipment, and promotional materials, ensuring the club can continue to provide inclusive sporting opportunities.
Empowering Athletes of All Abilities
Founded in 2012, Tees Valley Wheelchair Sports Club offers competitive wheelchair basketball, with teams across Men’s, Women’s, and Junior leagues. The club also welcomes individuals who simply want to play for fitness and fun.
During his visit, Simon was inspired by the team’s passion, resilience, and dedication to the sport.
“At Unity World, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back,” said Simon. “Seeing firsthand the impact of The Teesside Charity’s support was fantastic. It’s a privilege to contribute to initiatives that make our community better.”
The Teesside Charity: Supporting Grassroots Initiatives
For years, The Teesside Charity has been dedicated to funding and supporting grassroots organisations, ensuring they have the resources needed to thrive. Their continued efforts provide life-changing opportunities for local charities, clubs, and initiatives.
Jenny Williams of The Teesside Charity shared her gratitude:
“A special thank you to Simon and Unity. Your support is truly invaluable.”
