Customer Spotlight: The Little Red Berry Co.
Overview
The Little Red Berry Co. is a family-owned and independent business that started in a farmhouse kitchen back in 2011 with nothing but empty jam jars, Gin & little red berries. They took their new product range of Spirits to a local food & drink festival and the feedback was remarkable!
Notably, they even won ‘Best Small Trade Stand 2011’ after their first appearance and had a high demand from customers and independent businesses wanting to stock their drinks! Therefore, small batch production started, and new product lines with new flavour offerings to the target market were hugely successful.
2022 marked their 10th Birthday and to celebrate, they launched London Dry Gin to mark the occasion – a classic Gin & Tonic topped with fresh rosemary and pink grapefruit.
To this day, they consciously aim to source ingredients locally and ethically, using fruits and herbs from local farmers and independent foragers. Coincidently, their entire range is accidentally vegan – they call this a happy accident. Conversely, most Spirit manufacturers use properties such as fish bladders and carmine (crushed bugs) in the production processes. The business’ success meant that IT support was inevitable so they chose Unity and the rest is history!
Project Challenge
Firstly, when The Little Red Berry Co. was moving into its first unit in Sycamore Business Park in 2016, they needed IT Support so we provided a copper phone line (PSTN) to make and receive a few calls.
Later, as the business grew, Manager of Operations – Bethany Johnson was often out of the office either seeing clients or attending events so a more flexible system was needed to enable her to take calls anywhere.
The Solution
Therefore, the solution was to supply The Little Red Berry Co. with Unity One Site VOIP, which brought many benefits to the business:
- Cost Saving – they were paying less than they were for the PSTN Line
- Unlimited Calls – not only were the rentals cheaper, but also provided unlimited calls to 01, 02, 03, and 07 destinations
- Increased Mobility – to take calls on the move through the My Voice App
- Free Handset – free handsets to be used in the office
Conclusion
In summary, Unity One Site VOIP is the perfect solution for small industrial units and trade counters that require a PSTN replacement product with more functions such as Mobile App, Call Forwarding, Do Not Disturb, Voicemail, and Fraud Prevention.
